"Relationships and mental-health topics are explored on the interview program MyNDTALK, airing Fridays, 3-4 pm Eastern, throughout Washington, DC on 89.3 WPFW - FM and also heard by a worldwide audience online and via the Pacifica Network.
Psychotherapist and Media Professional, Dr. Pamela Brewer, who has hosted her show since its inception, welcomes many authors whose expertise and books involve family life, couples interactions, self-esteem issues, sexual problems, substance abuse recovery, post traumatic stress, parenting and many other meaningful issues that ultimately inform listeners and help them cope as they realize they're not alone in problems they face.
Guests are almost always clinicians who have written self-help books. But on occasion Dr. Brewer will interview an individual with a compelling personal story to tell. Fiction authors and people who want to discuss physical health, as opposed to mental health, are not used. Otherwise, all ideas for interview about relationships and mental health are consider. Both phoners and in-studio interviews are used.
Shows are aired live on Fridays or recorded live-to-tape on weekends. Prospective guests should send a descriptive email, with their credential sand show ideas, to producer Jim Brown* Authors contacted for on-air interviews will be asked to forward a media packet and review copy and will be given additional information.
